CLASSES TERMS & CONDITIONS
Thank you very much for choosing our Spanish school!
Before starting your Spanish classes, it is important that you read and understand our School terms and conditions.
If you have any comment or question please do not hesitate to contact us and we will happily help you.
Payments
All payments are made upon arrival (no deposits required) and can be completed with cash, with a Visa card, or with a bank wire transfer. Also, you can choose to make weekly/monthly payments or pay for your entire program at once.
Group classes
-
Absences: Because we schedule small group classes every week based on demand, students who register for group classes must commit to attending class for the entire week. For this reason, missed classes are not subject to refund.
-
Attendance: Students are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of their group classes every week (4 classes in a normal week). Otherwise they may need to repeat the module.
-
Minimum number of students for a group class:
Because we schedule small group classes every week based on demand,
students who register for group classes understand that we require a minimum of 2 students in order to open a group class. In case that during your studies your group has an insufficient number of students to remain open, you will be offered to switch to Private Lessons at a special price, so you can continue with your studies until we have more students of your level and we are able to re-open your group.
Rescheduling a private class
Students may reschedule a private class if they send an email to during our office hours (from Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm) AND at least 24 hours before their class is scheduled to begin. For example, a class scheduled for 4:00pm on Tuesday will need to be canceled by 4:00pm on Monday, and a class scheduled at 9:00am on Monday needs to be cancelled by 6:00pm the preceding Friday. Unfortunately, classes not cancelled in time are considered to be absences and are billed accordingly.

Academic hour
Each academic hour = 55 minutes of instructional time. This is to ensure that both students and teachers have a little rest time between classes.
Reimbursements for canceled classes
If for any reason you need to cancel your program, we will be happy to issue a prompt reimbursement for classes you have paid for and have not taken. However, please note that you should bring your original receipt, and, if you have paid by card, it may take up to 20 days for the refund to be completed. Finally please note that we do not apply any administrative fees or extra charges to issue refunds.
I hereby certify that I have read and agree with all the terms and conditions listed above.

Although we usually complete placement interviews for Basic and Pre-Intermediate students each Monday morning (30 minutes before new groups start), interviews for Intermediate and higher level students require more time and detail to complete. For this reason, we kindly ask you to complete your Spanish interview ahead of your arrival by using our Online Interviews Scheduling Page, which you will be able to access through a link in the summary we will email you after you finish your registration. Host families are happy to welcome students into their homes and show them more about the culture, traditions, and way of life in Peru. Respect the culture and values of the student.
-
Provide a nutritious breakfast every day. For those students that choose a breakfast and dinner option, the host family will share dinner with students each evening, which typically involves all members of the family gathered around the same table.

ACCEPTED METHODS OF PAYMENT: In order to make our homestay prices more affordable, our school does not take a cut from what our students pay to their families. This is why payments are made directly to your family and cash is the only method of payment accepted (host families are not businesses, so they don't accept credit cards). If you know you will not be able to pay in cash, a wire transfer is available as an alternative way to directly pay your family.
LAUNDRY: Please note that laundry is not included with your homestay program. Your family will happily show you a nearby laundry they commonly use and where you can also take your clothes to wash for a fair price (the market price in Lima is between $3-7 per load which includes washing, drying, and folding your clothes for you).
USE OF KITCHEN: Depending on the type of homestay, your family will make sure to provide you with either breakfast or breakfast and dinner. This is why the use of the kitchen on a regular basis is not allowed. If you would like to cook meals everyday (or most days), we strongly suggest that you stay at one of our Shared Apartments, where you can freely use the kitchen anytime time you want.
LEGAL RESPONSABILITIES:
Students shall not commit any crime on the premises, nor any act that interferes with the rights of another member of the family (including, but not limited to, larceny, damage to property, assault, battery, fraud, invasion of privacy, harassment, violent acts, violent behavior, or carrying any type of weapon inside the house). Every student is responsable for their own actions and he or she will remain subject to existing Peruvian laws at all times.
I hereby certify that I have read and agree with all the terms and conditions listed above.

Accordingly, all roommates agree that smoking inside the apartment is not allowed at any time.
General Courtesy:
Each roommate shall be reasonable and professional in his or her dealings with the other roommates and refrain from any behavior, action, or inaction that he or she knows or has reason to believe will significantly interfere with another roommate’s enjoyment of the tenancy. Legal Responsibilities:
Roommates shall not commit any crime on the premises that either interferes with the rights of another roommate (including, but not limited to, larceny, damage to property, assault, battery, fraud, invasion of privacy, harassment, and stalking), involves inherently dangerous activities, violent acts, or weapon violations, or jeopardizes the continued right of the other roommates to occupy the premises. Any roommate is responsable for their own actions and in any situation, he or she will remain subject to existing Peruvian laws.
I hereby certify that I have read and agree with all the terms and conditions listed above.
